$59,100 granted in Larimer County

The Department of Local Affairs has announced that $59,100.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds has been awarded to Larimer County for the following project:

Larimer County, on behalf of the Larimer Home Ownership Program (LHOP), has been awarded a CDBG grant for $59,100 in continuance of their existing down payment assistance loan program. These grant funds will be used to provide the program with administrative funds to make 25 low-interest loans to assist first-time buyers earning less than 80% AMI in the purchase of homes located in non-entitlement areas of Larimer County (excluding the cities of Loveland and Fort Collins). Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) in Fort Collins provides a HUD and CHFA certified homebuyer education class which is required of all buyers. N2N also provides pre- and post-ownership counseling to buyers, as well as a Mortgage Default Counseling Program.
