$311,778 award in Huerfano County

The Department of Local Affairs has announced that $311,778 in (CDBG) funds has been awarded to Huerfano County for the following project:

Huerfano County, on behalf of the South Central Council of Governments (SCCOG), has been awarded a CDBG grant of $311,778 to continue the funding of their two-county (Huerfano and Las Animas) Single-Family, Owner- Occupied Rehabilitation Program. These grant funds will be used to provide low-interest loans for forty-two (42) rehabilitation projects and thirteen (13) emergency repairs to homeowners earning less than 80% of area median income for these counties. This rehabilitation program has received funding from the Colorado Division of Housing since 1987 and has completed the rehabilitation of over 470 homes.
