Both filings and sales fall in March for fourth month in a row
Just a quick follow-up to the new March foreclosure data posted today:
Note in the graph that when compared to the same month the previous year, both foreclosure filings and foreclosure sales at auction were down for the fourth month in a row during March.
Since year-over-year comparisons first became available in January 2009, Last month was the first time that the state has sustained four consecutive months of negative year-over-year changes in both filings and sales. This isn't a monumental, game-changing development, but it does suggest that declines in foreclosure activity are beginning to form a trend.
