Fox31 recently ran a piece on construction employment which notes that employment in construction has been growing in recent months.
This is true, as construction employment was up 4.5 percent from October 2011 to October 2012. And, construction employment is up 5.6 percent from June 2011 when it bottomed out at 110,000 jobs.
There were 116,000 jobs during October 2012 and there were 170,000 at the peak during July 2007.
Nevertheless, construction employment is down 31 percent from peak levels, which means that the state has lost 53,000 construction jobs since the peak.
