The Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing (DOH) is pleased to announce Annie Bacci as its new Manager of Homeless Programs. In Ms. Bacci's new role, she will manage the homeless prevention team. She brings her experience building supportive service partnerships and knowledge of new housing development to DOH to enhance and organize its efforts to end and prevent homelessness in Colorado.
In Ms. Bacci's nearly 10 years of professional experience, she has focused on creating new housing opportunities for those greatest in need. Before joining the Division of Housing in 2011 in asset management, Ms. Bacci worked for Volunteers of America in Denver where she served as the manager of supportive housing programs for families and youth transitioning from homelessness. Serving as an asset manager for DOH, Ms. Bacci worked with grantees to preserve and expand their affordable housing portfolios and programs.
Ms. Bacci has also served on the Continuum of Care (CoC) board of the Metropolitan Denver Homeless Initiative (MDHI) since 2009 and as its board Vice President since earlier this year. Ms. Bacci has a bachelors degree in social work from the University of Iowa and holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
