New staff at the Division of Housing

Bill Simspon has joined the Colorado Division of Housing as a housing development specialist covering the Pueblo area and the surrounding areas (Region 5). Bill joins the division following many years of work in the housing and community development fields in southern and central Colorado. He will work out of the Division of Housing's regional office located in Pueblo.

From 1976 to 1981, Mr. Simpson was a housing rehabilitation specialist with the City of Pueblo; from 1981 to 1986, he was Director of Community Development for the City of Canon City; from 1986 to 1991 he was the Executive Director for the Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments; and from 1991 to 1996 he was a field director and trainer for the National Development Council. He has been a private developer since 1996.

During his career, Bill has served as developer and/or developer consultant on 31 housing developments with 1,268 affordable housing units in rural areas of six states.

He graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo with degree in Business Administration.
